What are some fun and cheap date ideas?

I’m trying to come up with some new things to do with my boyfriend, but I’m not that good at picking places to visit and things to do. We went ice skating this past weekend, and I’m looking for some more fun and not too expensive ideas!

What are some cool date ideas!? Thanks!

from experience, Ive had so much more fun doing the little things that dont take much effort or money.
like going for a walk on the beach or watching the sunset on a hill.

Like others have said, a picnic or like, a walk in the park is always pleasant. If it’s too cold outside, try going to a museum, or see if there are any sort of interesting exhibits open to the public.

A good look in the newspaper could bring insight into local activities going on which are unique and relatively low-cost :)

do a picnic inside, pick a place that would be fun to go to (even one of your houses) and pack up cheeses and meats and such.

winter woods walk, if you have a nicer weekend take a walk in the woods

if any house lights or city x-mas lights are out

I like a night in as much as a night out. You could do a romantic meal. Do a few courses. Starter, main, and desert. Only have candels to light the room. A nice cold bottle of white wine. well set table. And then give him a massage. Well that’s what I did for my girlfriend. She’s brought me to a musical, and ballet. Ok Ballet wasn’t a great present. But it’s something different.

I hear a lot of this, do something random. Don’t overplan it. And that all sounds great. Ok you can overplan something. But the only way that can fall through is if something doesn’t work perfectly and you get upset that it wasn’t what you wanted. I say you should make good plans. So that something’s actually going to happen. And they see you’ve made an effort for them and have thought about it and what they’d like.

Anything you do at home’s going to be inexpensive. I bought a load of facepaints one time and blinfolded my girlfriend naked and told her to stand still for half an hour while I painted her in flowers. She only really figured out what was going on half way through. Another time I downloaded the junglebook and alice in wonderland and we just stayed in and watched them. Another time I called around to her place telling her only that I had a surprise for her. Then turned up with a tent and sleeping bag. And we camped out in the back garden. Actually here’s a cool site I came across one time.
