They always do and almost always it is a very bad idea. The more you show your Independence he more he will want you. You would be wise to move on. There is nothing wrong with being friends as long as you don’t fall into his trap.
He tells you what an idiot he was to break up with you and what can he do to correct his major mistake…
Why would you care? He is your EX for a reason.
